Bloomin' Love - Bloomin' Heart

Howdy friends!  How about a heart full of flowers today?

While it's snowing here in Iowa - I *think* I'm ready for spring!  I'm pretty sure you all know how much I like snow - but I don't like when the temp gets much below 30.  I know....it's a catch 22.  It's gotta be cold to snow, but I don't like the frigid below zero temps we've been having.

So - on that note, I think I'm ready for some pretty spring flowers.  Right after we get a good blizzard.  Just one.  At least 10 inches of snow in one good shot.

Let's move onto this heart of flowers.

This card is SO! easy!  In fact - I had good intentions of bringing back the Manic Monday series with this one, but my weekend blew up and we spent most of Sunday at basketball games.  Therefore, I'll just explain it.

Start off with a panel of watercolor paper.
Stamp the heart image from Bloomin' Love with versamark ink, then heat emboss with white embossing powder.
Once it's cool, add Real Red ink with an Aquapainter, concentrating on the heart area.  (the embossed image will resist the watercolor) Add Melon Mambo with the Aquapainter around the edges.
Once the ink is dry (you can speed up the process with a heat tool), drop a few drops of plain water onto the inked up area.  Let set about 20-30 seconds then blot with a paper towel.  This creates cool water droplet marks.
Now, stamp the banner image with Versamark onto Melon Mambo and heat emboss with white embossing powder.  Stamp sentiment in Black ink, then die cut.
Create a nest of Silver thread, attach that nest to the Stampin' Dimensionals on the back of the banner, then place the banner on the card.

So QUICK!

This is beautiful, Jen...I can never seem to get my watercoloring to look quite right when I attempt this....you've given me incentive to keep trying! Thanks for sharing this at the Players this week! And I am with you about the snow....just one good one would be great! We might get some this weekend, in fact!
