Creation Station: We're Back! One Tag Fits All

Good Day everyone!  We are back from our break to offer you up some Creation Station Inspiration!

Today, we were to work with the One Tag Fits All stamp set, Best Day Ever Sale-A-Bration set and a Valentine theme.

I stuck with the Valentine Theme for the One Tag Fits All set, here's my first card:

For this card, I opted for a Pool Party Card base.  I wanted to soften the look of the Real Red DSP and the Black and White DSP. This worked pretty well.  To keep in the "softened" theme, I heat embossed the I *heart* U portion onto vellum and punched it out with the tag punch.

I then added a strip of the Calypso Coral DSP to the top, along with a flower punch and the "love" heart - that comes from the SAB set You Brighten My day.
BTW - the three pieces of DSP come from the Stacked with Love Paper Stack.

My next card was a little more challenging for me.  I was finding this set hard for me to use....but then something in my lil' brain when click.....and it came together.

This card actually started with that heart background.  Where did that come from?  I inked up the Happy Heart Embossing Folder with the Rose Coral Chalk Ink and pressed it onto my Very Vanilla CS.  This worked well.
I was going to use it as a card front, but then trimmed it down a bit to a partial card front.
I could figure out where to go from there, so decided to die cut it with the Party Pennants die.
Better.
I added a tag shape, upside-down, with the I *heart* U image, which is heat embossed in white and then went over the top with the Aquamarine Chalk Ink. This is on our new Chalkboard paper.
I needed to tie in that black, so used a strip of washi tape (Sweet Dreams Washi Tape) which is actually Basic Gray, but it worked! I also added drops of Basic Gray to the card base, again, tying in that dark.

I was still struggling at this point, and need to add some punch to the card.  I decided to add some of the Bermuda Bay Sequin trim, and that's when this really came together.  Along with some more washi tape - yes, it's Lost Lagoon, but for some reason it worked, and a bit of Coastal Cabana thick twine.
In the end I was happy with the card.  Phew...it only took 4 hours to come together!!!  :)
Don't mind my poor photo.  By the time I finished my card, it was dark....so the color in the photo below is ick....I couldn't photoshop it enough to bring out the true colors....UGH!

Now....onto Best Day Ever....

When I think of this phrase, I don't think of cards.  I just can't come up with a reason to send Best Day Ever as a card - help me out - leave me a comment as to why you'd send a card with that phrase....

Anywhoooo.....I created some 3x4 cards to use in my Project Life album instead.  Here's the collection....again, bad lighting....sorry!

This first one is a pull out card.  It's actually a 4x6 piece folded in half.  This way, I can journal or add additional photos inside.  Really bad pic, but that's a Bermuda Bay camera...believe it or not!  And it's washi tape along the top from the Birthday Bash Washi Sheets - I just cut them into strips.

The next one: I used the dots for a confetti look - it's actually Tempting Turquoise!  and the hearts are Wild Wasabi, stamped with the heart image from the set, then punched.  I topped the with some Crystal Effects for a fun look.  Best Day Ever is on a vellum tag.

For this one, I used the flower image in several colors, using an ombre flowing effect.  I placed rhinestones in the centers.  Easy!

This last one is super simple, but it'll work great on some of my boys' pages.....

Well....that's what I've got for you today....use the buttons below to hop along for some more inspiration from the Creation Station!

I love your vellum tag. It's so elegant. Great idea making your own Project Life cards with the "Best Day Ever" stamp set!
