Let me start off by posting a little warning:
This post is photo heavy! I'm gonna do little talking, and lots of pictures instead!
So - I created this A.DOOR.A.BULL gift basket, to look like a berry basket and filled it with cards. I created this entire project with the Mini Memories Simply Created Kit from the Stampin' Up! Occasions catalog. It's meant to be a mini scrapbook, but I just had to do something different with it. The only things I added were cardstock, ink, stamps and a few sequins. (the kit comes with large sequins, I added some smaller ones.
I showed you the card above in my last post, so I'm not going to say much about it!
I'll also warn you - it was gloomy today, and that made for some darker pictures than I wanted - Sorry!
The card above turned out to be one of my favorites. Which is ironic since in the beginning I really didn't care for it. Initially, the bottom of this card was meant to be the top. But I messed up and wasn't paying attention when I glued things down - and stamped the sentiment. Ya - there's a sentiment under the Floral "Thanks" tag....and it's stamped upside down! We all goof....you just have to figure out how to make it work!
This one has light embossing on one of the Kraft pages that come in the kit. Yep. I used those up too. I also incorporated some of the smaller sequins from the Sequin Trim found in the Occasions Catalog to offset the larger ones that come with the kit.
I'm really found of those "journaling" spots that come in the kit and love the little flowers on them. *swoon!* Hoping that it'll be a new DSP coming...wishing and hoping!
There are so many fun elements in the Mini Memories kit - like these gold heart paper clips. Aren't they cute? And the little tickets - love! The doilies and the gold vellum come in the kit too!
Here's more of that DSP that I love. Again, I used the kraft paper that came in the kit and die cut the edges with our Finishing Touches Edgelits. The gold twine also comes in the kit! I'm serious! You can't go wrong with this kit - for just $13.95 you get a lot!
For this card I took the little pocket shaped element and stitched it to some of the other DSP to create a real pocket. Then I created a pull-out for it.
Here's the last card. And guess what? I still have paper and embellishments leftover!!!
It was really fun to work with this kit in an unconventional way. Hope you like today's little project.
