Juan-uary Paper Pumpkin!

Hey there!  Yep - you read that title correct - it's Juan-uary! I only say that because I'm writing this as I watch the Bachelor....and Juan has got it goin' on!  YUM!  Honestly, I don't typically get into these shows much...they bore me a bit, and I don't like watching grown women throw themselves at men and watching them backstab each other.....but.  I do have to say, that I think Juan seems to be pretty real and kind and honest!  Plus, he's got a great accent.  I could listen to him all day.

But enough of that.  Let's talk some cards - should we?

And tags.

And a love note too!

Everything created in this post were from the Juan-uary Paper Pumpkin kit - just ONE kit!  I do get two kits in the mail, but haven't touched the second one.  Stay with me til the end of this post for something fun regarding that extra kit!

So - the card above and the one directly below were the cards that Stampin' Up! provided directions for.  But I saw much more potential with the kit, so I kept on creating!

This card below, I simply turned the card inside out.  I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the pattern on the inside of the card.  I knew right away that I wanted to use it.
I did the same for this card below....

This next card came to be by cutting out the area in the sticker sheet where the pattern extends beyond the cut edge.  Does that make sense?  So - the hexagons that are meant to be used, would be inside these hexagon pieces.  Hope that's not confusing.....

For this one, I used a hexagon punch to punch the windows in the card front.  I adhered a piece of Calypso Coral card stock to the back of the front then stamped.  I also took advantage of the free Boutique Buttons that came in Juan-uary's kit.

Here's a little love note (3x3") I created with leftover pieces..... I loved using those negatives of the hex pieces - and like them overlapped the way I did on this little one.

I was also able to create 5 gift tags.  Out of a single kit!

I'd say it's pretty impressive that I was able to create 7 cards, a love note, and 5 gift tags out of one kit.  All I added was two sheets of 8-1/2"x11" Crumb Cake card stock, a 1/4 sheet of 8-1/2"x11" Calypso Coral card stock, a small piece of Whisper White card stock, the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch and a Hexagon Punch.

The great thing - beginning with the February Paper Pumpkin kit, they are going to increase in value - about doubled in size!! You won't want to miss out....

Remember, once the kit is released, it's gone.  They don't re-release it.  You can't get it anymore!

So....here comes my offer to you.  I have an extra January Paper Pumpkin kit - it includes a little stamp set, a Stampin' Spot Classic Ink, two sticker sheets, 4 card bases, envelopes and a package of free buttons.  I'd love to give it to one of YOU!

I love what you have done with the elements of this kit. I'm always looking for ideas how to use a kit another way. Thanks for sharing.
