Bye-bye accessories!
Good morning folks! This is one heckofa list of retired accessories. Click on the links below for the appropriate sections!
So, after you look at these lists, you are probably going to have a few questions. Like, why are all of the ink pads retiring? Well - because Stampin' Up! has come up with an improved ink pad.
With the introduction of the 2012-2013 annual catalog, we have made a very big change to our Stampin' Pads.
Introducing. firm foam pads! They change your stamping experience for the better.
We know you're going to love these new Stampin' Pads-just look at all the exciting benefits listed below:
- Provide better ink coverage for your stamps!
- Light-tap stamping produces flawless images!
- Pad stays juicier for longer resulting in better ink pad longevity!
In addition, our new Stampin' Pads
- Have a crisply printed, glossy label on the top of the pad that is easier to read and that will not fade or chip off!
- Come with color name labels in all four languages (English, Spanish, French, and German)-just choose your language, peel it off the back, and add it to the side of the pad for easy identification!
- Use the same patented flip-top case design that stores the inking surface upside down, so the pad surface stays moist!
- Are available in all colors, including our exclusive In Colors!
Let your customers know about these exciting changes to our Stampin' Pads. Be sure to have at least one on hand so your customers can see and experience for themselves the improved quality of our Stampin' Up! Stampin' Pads.
Please note: Five ink colors have undergone formula changes to improve functionality and color stability with the new firm foam pads. These colors are
- Basic Black
- Basic Gray
- Marina Mist
- Perfect Plum
- Tempting Turquoise
All five colors of the reformulated inks have been fully tested and approved. While using the new ink formula in the old Stampin' Pads is fine, we do not recommend using the old ink formula in the new firm foam pads. Any refills purchased after April 30, 2012, will contain the new formulated ink.*
Other changes to the new catalog coming:
- Only select Stampin' Write Markers will be available individually (Stampin' Write Markers in color collections will continue to be offered)
- 12" x 12" Textured Card Stock will no longer be offered
- 12" x 12" Smooth Card Stock will only be available in select individual colors and color collections
This is all exciting! The really important thing to remember - the accessories are only available while supplies last. When they are gone, they are GONE! So, get yours ordered today - shop at my website: jenarkfeld.stampinup.net

Reach for the SKY!
Howdy Ho! Let me start off by saying....If I could reach TO the sky, I'd part the clouds and let in some sunshine! Brrr...it's cold here in Western Iowa! Those few weeks of 80's and 90's definitely spoiled me. Now I'm whining! And I had to turn my heat back on....URGH!! But, in the meantime - I'll just layer on some more clothing and keep crafting!
And get this.....I am playing along with ANOTHER sketch challenge this week. I know. I go in spurts. I can't help it. Some days I lack some creative spunk, and sketches always help. Today I'm playing along with Freshly Made sketches, and I did have to flip it in order to make it work with my sticker. I like their clean and simple looks. I think I may hold this card back for my lil' sister's High School Graduation. Seems fitting as a graduation card wouldn't you say?

Sweet Sunday Sketch!
Howdy! I made some time today to actually play along with a little sketch! It's been a while! I always love Karen's sketch challenges...so why not start there?
This was the card I came up with. If I would have been able to get to my sewing machine, I probably would have added some stitching to the pennants, but it's buried by "stuff". I love these long pennants tho! I'll be using this sketch again....
On another note....my son Will hit a milestone tonight after supper! He lost his first tooth!!! It was a long time coming... I think it's been loose for quite a while, and the other tooth is up behind where the loose one was and has been for a while. I think that's a sign that there will be braces in his future! For the time being tho, the little tooth fairy needs to put her wings on and go sprinkle some fairy dust! Wonder what the going rate is for teeth these days?

in my thoughts....
Howdy folks! How've ya all been??? It's been a while! Things are finally slowing down a bit here. Since the last time, let's see, I've been confirmed into the Catholic Church, my sweet little daughter turned 2!, our Church had a Comedy Cabaret, which I was on the committee - with 2 others, I spent a weekend at a scrapbook convention, and attended the open house for Woodbine Artisan, a new art studio where I am teaching several classes. I'm sure there are several other things....but that's all I can think of right now.
This card is a card I am sending to my Great Aunt Naomi. My Great Uncle Don passed away last night. He was my Grandpa's brother, and I know the two of them are now together again picking on my Great Grandma! They were ornery fellows and had a great time teasing people - always all in good fun! I spent a lot of time at my Great Aunt and Uncle's house when I was growing up, so am sad to know that he is gone, but on the other hand, am glad he is done suffering. He had diabetes and recently had the MRSA virus attack his body. My Grandpa also had MRSA and it's an evil, evil virus! Blech!
Anyway - I had to include some felt on this card, and know that my Aunt will "get it". Uncle Don was ornery, as I mentioned, and constantly was pinching me asking if my shirt was felt. Pinch. "Is that felt?"
Whacha think? Do ya like??? I really like that flocked black DSP from Mocha Morning....wonder why it took me so long to cut into it???
