Manic Monday - Quick Cards in under 10 minutes!

Hey there!  I'm back today with another Manic Monday Quick Card!  

This one was created just under ten minutes....if I wouldn't have chatted so much at the start and end of the video, it would be shorter!

FYI - I did add the faux stitching after I was finished with the video...thought it needed something, but I'd say this one still took less then 10 minutes with that!

Silhouette Sunday....Gift Box Bliss!

Hey there everyone....I'm back today with another project made with my Silhouette! 

And since we are approaching the gift giving season, I thought I'd show you another project that I created for gift giving:

This box was created with Silhouette Design ID #28399.  I used Bermuda Bay card stock, and some coordinating Winter Frost DSP.  The bow was a leftover piece from the Christmas Banner Simply Created Accessory Kit. 

I stacked up some snowflakes from Festive Flurry, in Silver, Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay.  Topped them off with a Vintage Faceted Button and a Large Rhinestone.  

Added an Enjoy tag from Oh, Goodie and it was done.  This project was quick, and a breeze to put together.

You could decorate the back, but I left it pretty plain:

Treats go from BLAH to HooRAH! in minutes!

Last week I shared with you these adorable packages for a single Peanut Butter Cup treat.  These here were made with my Silhouette. 
But I had so many people ask me if they could make them with the Envelope Punch Board.  Well....I had no idea.  So, I set out to figure it out.  

First off - YES!  It can be done.
No! I didn't figure it out on my first try.  It took about 15 tries.  But I have the determination of a duck....(that's a long story, but my mom will understand!)

Technical Tuesday! Scrappin' with the Studio!

I think I'm on a good mission folks!  If I keep up with this Technical Tuesday scrapping thing, I might just have a book made  before we know it! 

I almost didn't do my page last night, I was tired and grouchy - and you know I'm grouchy when I make it a point to tell my husband that I am.  He said to me, "Oh your a little B*#$&!?"  I said, "No, I'm grouchy, you better be nice or I will become B*#$&! !"  To me there is a big difference!

It was just a long day, and frankly, I just wanted to crawl into bed and close my eyes. The kiddos were driving me bonkers, it's harvest season, so I'm practically a single mom.  I couldn't get the things I wanted to work, to work....There was a mountain of laundry that needed to be done....you know..... all those things add up and make us grouchy! 

I opted to sit in the living room with my hubby and chat.  I grabbed my laptop and we chatted while I scrapped.  We also kinda got roped into The Blacklist.  I hadn't watched that yet - and it was good.  Kind of reminded me of Alias, which I used to love!  Anyway....during the commercials, I put this page together:

Seriously - during the commercials!  Now, how easy is that!

Manic Monday! 10 minute Cards (or less!)

Hey there!  It is a Manic Monday here!  

I'm back with my series of quick and easy cards - made in 10 minutes or less.  

Today's card is easy, and actually takes quite a bit less than 10 minutes to create - probably more along the 5 minute mark!  Love that.  

Today, I thought it would help if I created a video to prove that this really does take a very limited amount of time to create. So, go ahead and watch how fast this one goes together:

Silhouette Sunday...Oh! What Fun!!

Welcome!  
With my renewed crush on my Silhouette, I've decided to start a new series for the ol' blog: Silhouette Sunday.  Hopefully, it'll catch on like football and Sunday - they'll just go hand in hand!

If you missed yesterday's post - I shared an adorable Halloween Treat Ensemble. I'm still giddy over that little project!  You can click here to find it.

Today, I've created another giftable item, and this one combines the use of the Silhouette and Big Shot.  

I used a pillow box cut file to create the box - which I made rather large.  It's about 4 x 6 1/2" assembled.  I think that's a nice size for giving jewelry or other small gifts.  Here I used Coastal Cabana card stock, then grabbed the polka dot template from the Build a Banner Simply Created Kit, a sponge dauber, and Very Vanilla Ink to create the pattern.  {love} 

I wrapped a piece of Burlap ribbon around the box.  I used a bit of sticky strip to keep it in place, but where it overlaps, I secured it with a Vintage Trinket safety pin - because I needed something cute to attach the tag with!

For the tag, I stamped the sentiment on Crumb Cake CS, with Bermuda Bay ink, then splattered it with some Vanilla Smooch Spritz.

Lastly, I die cut all of the Festive Flurry snowflakes from cream colored felt, stitched a Vintage Faceted button to them and glued them to the box with Multipurpose Glue.

Bite Me, Eat if You Dare.....

Yeah - seriously.

 Bite Me!

No - not in the ticked off connotation.

I'm talking about biting into the yummy treat kinda thing....

Sit down and get a load of these seriously sweet treat packages I came up with...

I created an ensemble of treat packaging with ease.  No joke, folks, I can whip up about 10 of these in minutes!  

You see, I have this poor Silhouette that's been missing out on the action in my craft room.  Truth be told, I just don't turn it on very often. It was time to give the ol' girl a workout.  

And this week, I did just that!  She got a workout, and I've made an oath to her that she'll not be shut off for long periods of time again!


So, lets get on with the show, ok! 

First up - 

While this might not be very appropriate as a treat container for my kids to take to school, I think it's great for my friends - or if you've got the right kind of co-workers....maybe your boss?  (I can switch out the sentiment for the kids' treats!)

For this one, I cut a Single PB Treat box from some Witches Brew DSP ( I can actually get two on a sheet and cut two at a time!)  Then I mixed some black embossing powder with black ultrafine glitter and heat embossed the web from the photopolymer set - Bite Me. (loving this web - so lifelike!)  I folded every thing up, used one piece of sticky strip to hold it together, then added the Bite Me sentiment and some washi tape.  

Washi tape holds the back closed, and when you lift it, inside is your sweet goodie!

Next up is a fun size candy bar package.

Last one up holds a full sized candy bar.

Here I let the DSP do most of the work.  It just so happened that the skeleton ended up on the front, so I couldn't resist.  I didn't plan it that way....  I gave him a  little button eye patch, and tied some black chevron ribbon on - 

The flap will tuck into the ribbon to hold it shut. 

mmmmm.....I think that Milky Way is calling my name!
