Creation Station: Confetti Themed!

Ahh....it's time for another Creation Station Blog Hop!

This week, our talented crew is still in Celebration mode (just to continue with the long holiday weekend!) - and we're creating things with a Confetti Theme, and using the Dotty Angles Stamp Set.  I've also challenged Design Team members to create things with the Stampin' Up! Coaster Board.  It's kind of a hidden gem in our catalog, and I'm wanting to see what ideas are lingering in the minds of our group!

Let's get this party started, ok?

I stuck with the Dotty Angles Stamp Set for most of my projects and was trying to think of some different ways to use it.... first up, I created a card using the "confetti" stamp on some Park Lane DSP, but heat embossed it in Gold so that it would pop.

To stick with the gold theme, I stamped the sentiment from Let Your Hair Down in Gold Encore ink, and added a little Artisan Label punched from Brushed Gold Cardstock.

All in all, this one is pretty clean and simple.  I think with the gold details, it's good to keep the rest simple.

Next up, I used the Dotty Angles confetti stamp again, this time using several different colors and offsetting it each time I stamped.  Colors used were Daffodil Delight, Strawberry Slush, Coastal Cabana (stamped off).  The last stamped layer was heat embossed with Heat & Stick Powder, then I sprinkled on Dazzling Diamonds and heat it slightly again.  Turns out I love this look!

I completed this card with the sentiment from Bravo! - which seemed quite fitting.

This next little project was quite fun!  I created some wine charms from the coaster board.  Often, I'm in need of distinguishing one person's wine glass from another when we are entertaining.  These seemed a little more whimsical than the typical wine charms that I have....

I simply die cut some coaster board using the Window Frames dies, then stamped the triangle image from Dotty Angles.  I added the Cheers sentiment from Happy Hour.  A 3/4" circle punch was used to create an opening for the stem, and I cut a slit from the edge to the opening.

I was having fun with this project and was thinking of other ways to really personalize the wine charms.  Here I used the Gold Encore ink and Daydream Medallions, along with the Floral Frames dies:

Fun stuff - eh?

I hope that this has inspired you - but don't worry if it wasn't inspiring enough - Kathy is next in line and she's got some great ideas to share with you!  Plus, you can go back to Justin's blog to check out his fantabulous creations!
