Howdy folks! I finally got my first box of new goodies and had a chance to play with some new stamps, new ink and new colors! Oh what fun!!!
Lately I've been into more of a minimalist mode with my cards - have you noticed? Fewer buttons, less ribbon. My cards have been more flat and easily mailable! I've been more about the stamps and sentiments. This card is no exception.
I did use some Stampin' Dimensionals for a couple of the hexagons and I love the new Candy Dots! They are flatter than a button or pearls - and in this case I think they really look like confetti! I could have used a whole bunch, but I didn't order a whole bunch until I saw them in person.....no worries - more are on the way! Once I saw them and used them, I just HAD to have more. And, while I like them by themselves - there is also a brad base that is available for them too - so you can create a brad in virtually any color! Talk about awesome!
Isn't this a cheerful card! And I happen to feel like the font of the sentiment lends perfectly with the "quilted" look of the card. A little vintagey all around. The real bonus is that this card is a very quick card - you can whip up a whole pile of them in no time at all.
So - have you stuck with me long enough to find out who won this month's subscription to Craft Project Central? The winner is:
CYNDI G!!!
