Hello! It's the first Sunday of the month - and that means that the Creation Station Design Team is here to inspire YOU!
This month we are focusing Spring Flowers. Most are focusing on the Botanical Blooms bundle (if they have it), but the overall theme is spring flowers. I'm opting for.....Spring Flowers..... I had Botanical Blooms on my wish list for a while, but kept talking myself out of it. I have SO many flower sets and SO many flower dies - I just couldn't do it. Even tho I wanted to!!! Every time I saw our own Dena Rekow create something phenomenal with them, I'd go put the bundle in my shopping cart....and then I'd delete them. UGH! I may kick myself when I see what she's created for this hop....
So.....here I go with my Spring Flowers.....
First up - a set of cards using the Garden in Bloom stamp set. This by far is one of my favorite sets. The watercolor effect gets me everytime and the stamp layering - makes the possibilities endless!
I've decided that every card that I make, I'm going to make in multiples of at least 4. It seems that it takes just as much time to make 4 as it does 1. I usually haven't made multiples because I'm always afraid I won't like what the outcome and then I'll have 4 cards that I don't like instead of one. Well....I'm blowing that theory out the window. I'm just going to cross my fingers and GO WITH IT! Fortunately - I liked this outcome.
For my next project - I let the flowers of the Timeless Elegance DSP do all the work for me!
This paper is absolutely gorgeous!
One thing that I love to create - and I've been making these for years - gift card tins. I love to use these for gifts - they are like a card and a gift all in one. What I really happen to like about this one - I can easily customize the ribbon color and tag for any purpose. Just changing the ribbon to another color makes a huge difference. This paper does seem to scream wedding to me, but I think it'd also be great for an anniversary or birthday milestone.
I do decorate the inside with DSP, as seen above, and almost always add a pocket for money or a gift card. You could even slip some jewelry in these. These are great to regift too - just add a new tag and voila - you can fill and gift to someone else if you want to. I usually give these to immediate family members so that I can snag the tin back for the next gift I need!
So....here's the same idea - in a completely different style.
This one uses some gingham dsp from Farmers Market, and some hand scripted dsp from Going Places Paper Stack. A burlap belly band ties it all together. The flower was made using the Flower Builder punch.
Well - that's all I have for you today! I hope that at least one of my projects inspired you! Be sure to continue along the Creation Station blog hop, and you'll have a head full of inspiration!
