Hi there crafty friends! It's the first Sunday of the month - and that means time for an inspiration tour around the Creation Station! We have a VERY talented team of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators that are here to share some Birthday inspiration. Let's jump in shall we?
First off.....a lot of time, I have a hard time coming up with cards that are good for my young boys. Or even teen boys. Does anyone else have this struggle? I think the key is to keep things a little more graphic and with a strong, bright color scheme. So....I went with the graphic images from Balloon Celebration.
I started with a card base of Cucumber Crush. It's a great bright green, and paired up with a strip of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the It's My Party paper stack, I could tell this was going to be perfect. Most of the designs in that paper pack are really geared to girls (at least I think so!). The black and white dsp will easily add a punch.
To complete the card, I grabbed the Happy Birthday sentiment from Age Awareness. I think that the font used here screams teenager! I heat embossed it in white onto black cardstock. Then, in that same stamp set I stamped the little flag image in Pacific Point. All of this paired well with a Daffodil Delight circle with a snippet of Basic Black bakers twine.
In the end - I think this card is PERFECT for those BOYS that can be SOOOOO hard to create for.
Now....onto something a little different. (I posted something similar in this post.) These balloons are from Balloon Celebration and the bow is from the Cutie Pie Thinlits.
My kids go to quite a few birthday parties, and I often find it difficult to come up with a good gift. This has been my go-to gift as of late! I grabbed some pint ice cream containers (link below in the supplies) and used the DSP from It's My Party to cover them. The coordinating washi tape is perfect to go around the rim of the lid.
So, what do I do for the gift part? I typically fill them up with candy (it holds A LOT of candy and a gift card to.....Dairy Queen, Amazon, where ever the kids like to shop/eat - we don't have a lot of choices in this neck of the woods!)
What I really love about these is that they are really easy to customize. For this one - I used the Party Pop Ups Thinlits for the Happy Birthday - which fits PERFECTLY! By the way - one of our circle dies is also a perfect match for the top of the lid.
I think these would also be good for party favors at a birthday party. Or what about changing them up with different DSP for a baby shower or bridal shower.....the possibilities are endless!
Now it's time to see what the rest of the talented team have to inspire you! Hold onto your hats! You are about to be blown away!
