For my first card - I used the Lighthearted leaves set - embossing the images with clear embossing powder to give the leaves some shine. I'm seriously in love with these leaves - just love the look.
I inlaid the "thanks" right into the leaf with some gold glimmer paper - gold and fall just goes together - am I right?
Pairing the leaves on top of a Mossy Meadow card base just made those colored leaves pop. Add some designer paper, burlap trim, a gold button and this card is done!
For my next card, I went with a more "artistic" approach.
It's not quite what I envisioned.....but it's not bad.....
I started off by heat embossing the leaves in gold on watercolor paper. Then I watercolored the circles in Blackberry Bliss, Mossy Meadow, Tangelo Twist and Hello Honey. I wanted it to radiate....but didn't quite get the look I was going for. However, I still like the look of it - it's just -----different!
Now....time for you to head off on your Inspiration Journey - be prepared for some awesomeness!
Love the embossing and layers Jen. Beautiful cards.
ReplyDeleteLove both of these, but the first one is really my favorite! I never quite know what to do with anything purple, so seeing this dsp and your leaves together is a refreshing idea!
ReplyDeleteWonderful cards! The first one really pops and the second one sparks the artist in me!
ReplyDeleteLoved your first card and thought the second was very creative. Thanks for sharing. Paula
